kingsinnersoul
I did not see any place to check in order to force the IDs I have in the CSV file. And from their description it seems that its not possible if using the Store Manager: The value from selected file will not be imported from the file or changed at your store as it should be assigned automatically by shopping cart itself (other database tables can have references to this field pointing to specific products). Can it be done?
Iryna
Hello! PrestaShop itself does not allow to force ID creation when you import new products, as you have noted. All IDs are auto increment, PrestaShop assigns them automatically, what ensures database integrity. Store Manager for PrestaShop works according to this logic and you can not create new products with IDs, specified in the file.
kingsinnersoul
Are you sure? Prestashop does ALLOW to FORCE IDs. It is one of the only few options that the native import page offers!!! But, I will show you if you do not believe me: Attachment #1: 1.PNG -> shows the option in the BackOffice = Advanved Paramters > CSV Import > Products > Force All ID Numbers Attachment #2: 2.PNG -> shows the couple first columns in my CSV import file, which had ID 9999 (currently have 832 products imported with your Store Manager) Attachment #3: 3.PNG -> shows that after that single line CSV was imported, the ID was FORCED, per the selected option, and now my store has products with IDs from 1-832, and product # 833 has ID 9999... And the quote I added in the OP was from Store Manager Docu pages... Not from Prestashop... Iryna
Ok, I see. Sorry for the confusion. Anyway with Store Manager for PrestaShop you can not do this. IDs will be created automatically.
