Back-up options in PhpMyAdmin

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I'm trying to back-up my database trough phpmyadmin with the help of this DOC:

http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS16/Making+and+restoring+your+own+backup

Can some one please check if all the settings are correctly set up? Sorry for being a noob in phpmyadmin. Some of the points mentioned in the document like:

  1. In the "Data" section, tick at least the following box:
    • "Data" ??? I couldn't find this and "Save as file" ???

Please check this screens if i did it correctly, thank you for your time and help!

well if you go to your database by going to for example www.yourdomain.com/phpmyadmin then select your database on the left side of the screen.

Once selected you can click on the sheet with green arrow called "export".

What you did was selecting the advanced section of exporting, you don't need this.

Just select fast export with SQL from drop-down menu and click on the button "start". That's it.

2. Opmaak is "SQL".

Dat was het.

Said the same, but then in Dutch.. :)

Hi Helldog,

Thank you for answering! Because the Prestashop documentation sad something different with all the extra options. It seemed some what confusing to me, normally i always export in the 'simple' mode like you sad.
