Product Suggestion to customize login information

I am trying to use Prestashop. I downloaded it because it was free. We could not afford a commercial bundle. If someone is in the market for a free option, it most likely means that they cannot afford a programmer and that they are a novice. I want to delete some of the fields that are used on the login form and I want to add some new ones. How many people actually need a birth date for their customer records?! Wouldn't a Company Name field be better for a business? There should be more possibilities for the poor, novice to customize the fields. Just a thought!
