the.rampage.rado
So that's the question - which php version gives us best compatibility, stability and last but not least speed? Currently I'm using 5.4 but I would like to upgrade if it will give me improvements from current state.
parsifal
Hello. PHP 5.5+ comes with a built-in opcode caching system (thanks to Zend which open-sourced it and made it possible to be included in PHP), that is easy to configure and tune, works transparently (no need for your PHP webapps to specifically support it) and will probably give you a nice speed-up. I have been using it for some time now in my Debian-based VPS, with no problems whatsoever.
