Search and indexes

This release (1.6.0.11) has full of problems, but one of the most relevant is the internal search engine, not working.
If you use the search, products present in the catalogue are not found.
You may rebuild the search index, but nothing change.
The rebuilding of the search index require a lot of server capacity, require a huge time and gives a lot of errors 500.
Rebuilding the index for less than 200 products require 4 hours.
Of course, you may restart the indexation, but the indexation was correct?
The user has no function to verify.

Anyway, I hope someone can give me a hint...

 

I've not hope do have a reply from prestashop team. Seems they have more to do.

I totally agree with you.

 

I try to add a Product by one script, and I give all the information: link_rewrite, categories and others, but the search engine doesn't find the product.

 

However, if I put the url by my hand, it works.

 

how is it possible? what I have to do to fix it?
