[SOLVED] Italic font

Hello!

 

Italic font does not work in my prestashop. I use the default theme in PrestaShop version 1.6.0.11.

 

Plese help.

I want the italic font to appear on cms pages I created. It does appear in the edditor but not on the page. I did not change any css file.

if you save contents with italic, after save - font is italic or italic disappears? (in tinymce editor)

Try to turn off html purifier in Preferences > General and see if this helps

In source code, there is <em> and after </em>, but on page nothing. Bold and underlined works perfectly.

Maybe there's some css class there, to make em font style normal.

The Aegagropila linnaei should be in italic. I do not have SSL certificate yet, so you will get security notice before entering the site.

Uh, oh, this really doesn't work. I tested on my site.

You can fix it by adding this code to global.css:

em {
    font-style:italic;
}

The same happens on the latest PrestaShop version (1.6.0.14).

The italic text works on the backend/edit side, but shows up as standard text (not italics) on the live version.

 

Dioniz fix works perfectly.

Just copy and paste the code into the first section of the Global.css file.

Located:  themes/default-bootstrap/css (on my PrestaShop version).

 

Hopefully it's something they will fix going forward
