Gastono
hi there, I got a question about the "not found pages" page in backoffice. On a daily basis i get many not found pages and i got no idea what could be causing this?? this is the info on this page Below are the results from one day (on a not so busy webshop) I dont know why there are so many pages wich end with /none
El Patron
login to your hosting control panel, look for 'logs', this will have error logs but also access logs. look for pages that generate 404, not found etc. this will help you find the referring page, what was not found etc. there is loads of good info in the access log. vekia
these bad links can be also generated around the internet. someone somewhere pasted url to your shop with bad format, when someone click on it, you will see it in not found logs
Gastono
But what surpises me is the fact that the not found pages are all an only category pages wich start with the normal good working url, for example collageen.naturalbeautyparkstad.nl/cremes/ but 99% of the not found pages have /none added so that collageen.naturalbeautyparkstad.nl/cremes/none somehow is created. I cannot reproduce the error nor can i find the faulty url on google. This happens repeatedly to all and only category pages . The acces log shows that the refferrer is the url from the correct category page, if it would show backlinks from another site i would also think that it could be badly pasted links to my shop. I cannot reproduce the error nor can i find the faulty url on google, so i think that somehow the fauld is created by prestashop, or is this something that would be not possible?? El Patron
I can reproduce the issue with google chrome ctl + alt + j then click on category, i.e creams results in a 404 (none) http://screencast.com/t/8qRhWPgFpZ vekia may have better idea of why that happens, I don't do a lot of front end stuff
Gastono
Your reply (el patron) has made me try out to normaly visit a category wich today had not yet resulted in a not found page mentioning. the page loaded normaly and in the log a not found mentioning gets reported. so i guess that guest an not actually redirected to 404 not found page. So i think its not really a problem that this gets reported as customers are not having any problem with pages that could not be found. Stil remains that i would like to know why this happens.
