[SOLVED] editing top horinzontal menu text

hello guys am new to prestashop, i am editing the default theme to suit my shop I have done most of the changes but unable to change the texts on the links, can anyone tell me where to look or how to change the texts on the links please thanks

Hi thanks for the quick reply to my question I am trying to edit the top horizontal menu showing Home, About us, Women, Dresses, T Shirts and Blogs. attached is a screenshot

Women, dresses and t-shirts are categories. Change those in BO > Catalog > Categories. Title will reflect in menu

About us is CMS page. It's in BO > Preferences > CMS. You can change title and edit text of those pages. Title will reflect in menu

I don't remember about Blog. I think it's external link. It's in BO > Modules > Top horizontal menu under Link list

You can add or remove links in Top horizontal menu too.

Hi Paul hope you are well thanks for the reply I have gone to localization>translation>back office module, i could not find catlog and categories there so I am still unable to make the changes I need, can you help again thanks.

Hello again

I am sorry but I am a little bit confused as to why you are looking in Back office > Localization > Translations if you want to add/change categories etc in your Top Horizontal Menu.

 

If all you want to do is add/remove categories (assuming you have made them) then go to:

Back office > Modules > Modules > Front office features > Top horizontl menu > Configure

You will then see two boxes on your screen:

Move items from right to left to add to the menu

Move items from left to right to remove from the menu

 

Post back if this is not what you want

and to change translation of thins like categories

go to CATALOG > CATEGORIES

 

you wil see there list of categories, you can translate them there

Hi i have a site setup for www.r-coghana.com I want the send to friend button when click to send the product details to my email instead, also how can i get the submenu under SAFETY EQUIPMENT to display inline like FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT menu thanks
