Kimss
Hi guys I've noticed that the statistics in the admin area of my Prestashop site are showing different statistics than the ones I see in Analytics. At face value the PS statistics seems legit. Browser, OS, origin and so on are comparable to the overall picture I get from Google Analytics. The PS statistics are just showing more users and activity than Google Statistics. It's not a huge issue but it would be nice if someone could tell me what's going on. As far as I can tell, my Google Analytics is set up correctly and is working. Also, I have the same IP-adresses excluded on the two systems. And as I wrote before, the statistics seem to be legit. I.e. they pretty much look the same and tell the same story, the PS numbers are just roughly 10% higher than the Google numbers.
Kimss
Forgot to mention that I have considered if it was simply bots showing up in my statistics. And while bots do account for a lot of the difference between Google Analytics and PS Statistics there still seem to be a difference of roughly 10% between the numbers I get from the two sources even if you take the bots into account. NILAGolf_
I have the same thing, but the difference between GA and prestashop is much bigger. GA shows around 80% fewer than prestashop. What is difference here? Would reallly like to know.
Kimss
I've had a closer look and I have to admit it does look like it's simply bots and other automated stuff showing up in the PS statistics. From what I've read, it comes down to whether or not JavaScript is activated when someone or something visits your site. PS logs the visit in either case. GA only logs a visit if it leads to the JavaScript on your site being run. And since most bots won't run JavaScript, most bots aren't logged by GA. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Module out there that could solve the issue or you could probably just hook your PS Statistics panel up to your GA account and negate the issue entirely by having it run GA data instead of the data PS collects. I've simply stopped using the PS statistics feature and started using GA exclusively for gathering and evaluating the data.

Now the traffic is shown correctly, but the "activity overview" still keeps showing those huge numbers. Well, I think Í will just ignore those. Thanks for reply.
