abdulk
Hello, I configured a separate email account for customer service and download the messages via IMAP in the Customer Service module. However, emails that contain HTML display horribly when displaying threads. It shows HTML, CSS, etc. I've attached a screenshot. Is there anyway to fix this?? Thank you! typ3z3r0
The problem is that the system will not remove the quoted contents of the email they're responding to. This may be possible to get around using regexps to just find their reply or to remove the quoted contents, however there are various ways in which clients will format the quoted contents, and the customer's reply may be below or above it. I think the most viable solution is just to modify contact.html and contact.txt in the mail template directory (mails/en) to include a notice, telling the customer to only respond with plain text and not to include the contents of the email they're responding to, or simply telling them to respond using the contact form. These obviously aren't the nicest solutions. Ideally, PrestaShop would allow customers to read and reply to responses from the front-end, not rely on customers emailing their responses. abdulk
Yes, that's one of the problems, but even a new email (not a reply) sent as HTML has the same issue. Our shop sells baby clothes. There's no way a stay at home mom will even know what "html" is, so I definitely can't ask them to send plain text emails only. Seems to me that Presta needs better email parsing to get this module right. I've used 10+ email ticketing systems that don't have this issue, so it's obviously possible, just not in my wheelhouse on expertise :/ It's sad too because the Customer Service Module is otherwise very cool. afshop
Hi Abdulk, I have the same problem, did you solved? Thank you
abdulk
There's no solution that I'm aware of. We just don't reply using the interface. PS could fix this with regex filtering, but way too much work for me to bother with. Let me know if you find a solution!

corni
Hi, I am having the same issue. I really (!) like the Customer Service Module, because of its simplicity. But without an readable reply via IMAP server, it is not ready to use in production. Abdul, may I ask which email ticket system you are using for "stay at home moms"? Most of the open source systems I have seen are quite complex and without an intuitive design. Thanks!
