Text Module for Header

As you can see in the attached image, I've turned my header into a narrow strip containing user info block, quick search block, and cart block, all on the hook displayNav.

 

The image also has a mock-up of text I'd like to add between user info block and quick search block. Since it's between two modules which are on the same hook, I obviously can't simply add this text to header.tpl - I need another module. I've tried contact information block and custom CMS information block, but neither can be transplanted to displayNav.

 

Is there another module I can use? Should I change what hook I'm using for my header? Should I use two hooks, one for user info block and another for quick search block and cart block, and just add the text in header.tpl between the two?
