Is it possible to have custom attributes' set for sertain category?

Hi,

I need to create digital catalog of products for several brand owners.

Catalog will contain several categories with different attributes set for every category. E.g. for category 'shoes' we create attributes "size" and "width"; for 'pensils' - "hardness" and "color" etc.

Every client (brand owner) manufactures products in several categories.

The client will send me his/her product list in csv files for import in catalog.

 

How in this case can I organize such a procedure? Lets suppose I have 20 categories and 30 custom attributes in each category. Is it possible to have separate csv for certain category containing only attributes' values for this category ("size" and "width" for "shoes")?

 

Or there is a different way?

Different categories have different attributes' sets, e.g. http://www.nextag.com/Ovens--zz2700448zB4z5---html and http://www.nextag.com/Digital-Cameras--zz500001zB4z5---html
