Store stalls after changing the Homeslider image

I had a promotion for Mother's Day. Yesterday, I changed the image on the home slider from active to inactive, to stop the promotion.

 

From that point onwards, the store is almost stopped, the error message 504 Gateway Time-out is always there.

 

I talked to the server staff, and asked to solve it, and also for the error log. Still, waiting for a solution.

 

Can anybody help?

hello

i remember that i had similar problem but it was related to permissions

make sure that you use correct rights where your php files are stored

 

each host has got different policy for permissions, but in most of cases you have to use 755

make sure that you use 755 chmods too. (for directories!)

I have done as you suggested, but no results... even the back office is taking so long that doesn't even load the products images!
