Supply orders

Recommended Posts

Hi,

we have built a store allowing back orders, selling products not stored in our warehouse. When a customer places an order we need to create a supply order based on these specific products. Since we are not storing these products, is there a way to automatically create supply orders for products with a negative value for the auto load function in back office?

Example:

  • Customer orders "product1"
  • Back orders allowed in shop
  • "product1" is not stored in our warehouse, therefor we have 0 available
  • When creating a supply order from template, we need "product1" to be loaded automatically since the available quantity is -1.

Is this possible in some way?

Any help on how to solve this problem is very much appreciated!

I am looking for the same functionality, I don't have much products in stock because there are to much combinations. I would like to make a supply order on a weekly base, based on the orders I have got in that week. So if it would add everything with negative quantities it would be good.

I too am looking for this functionality.

I run a store where the only thing I warehouse is returns that can be resold as new.

In Magento, there is an option to set the stock as being considered out of stock at n left and I found I could set that number to -1.

If I have it in my warehouse, then I wouldn't show up on the low order report since it was going from 1 to 0 when ordered. Then, once the next one was ordered, the quantity would be -1 and would show it on the low inventory report.

I wonder if it's possible to set the threshold somewhere in the code to "-1" because ordering up based on -1 ends up ordering the correct items, but is always one short.
