Special characters not shown with correct font

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I have selected Slovene language for my shop. It happened that special local characters (Č芚Žž) are not correctly shown. When "Arial" font is used, it is ok, but for headings or wherever there is "Open sans" used special characters are just displayed in "Arial". Please see attached screenshot.

I have checked font "Open sans" but there must be also our local characters.

You can check on the CMS block at the bottom of my webstore http://izmerim.afna.si/.

Please for help! Regards,

Grega

hi, dioniz

i have checked again on different computers in our company - from windows 7 to vista and they all show bad formating of special characters (čšž). it must be something with coding. what our computers have in common is that we use english windows with regional settings set to slovenia.

however, on our corporate site we also use google fonts (droid sans), the same hosting as prestashop, but it all works correctly.

can you please help me some more?

regards,

grega

Hey Grega

Open yourtheme/header.tpl and find this:

family=Open+Sans:300,600" type="text/css" media="all"

and change to this

family=Open+Sans:300,600&subset=latin,latin-ext" type="text/css" media="all"

Thank you, works for Turkish characters.
