[SOLVED] Help - Can't get layout right with Mini Cart

I'm new to Prestashop and have been trying to figure out home come the mini cart is not displayed right - see image for reference.  

 

I notice in the html where the mini cart is displayed wrong, the div mini-cart is inside div span5 (image 2), while in the one that is correct it is in div span8 (image 3).  

 

At first I thought it was the positioning of the modules but I've tried to move those around and it won't change either - unless I'm looking at the wrong thing.  

 

Regardless, I'd appreciate any help in where I can fix this!

 

Second problem I have is I don't know why the prices are displayed as 100,00$ rather than $100.00.??

[Figured this out...help on the 1st issue please!]
