meko19
Looking for assistance with the following. Using multistore 1.5.6.1 and have two stores. Once USA and the other Canada. When a customer purchases on the USA to pay in US funds while on the Canadian site to pay on Canadian funds. I have tried different set ups but I can not get it working. I do not want a currency exchange. I am using paypal which is set up with a USA & Canada account. The USA side is working but when a payment is sent to paypal on the canada side it is in USD funds. Stores are here: www.fireplace-doors.com Thank you in advance.
stnadmin
You need to set the currency for the Canadian store by going to Localization >> Currencies and then in the "Multistore configuration for" drop down select the Canadian store and make sure the only currency available is Canadian. You will also need to make sure that the pricing is set for your products in Canadian. Edited April 3, 2014 by stnadmin (see edit history)
El Patron
The only way to actual take advantage of having the 'by country' currency set to a different currency than default is to also turn on back office-->preferences-->geo localization. after you do this, the ip country is used to obtain the country, not the default currency and country. then it would not matter which store they visited, they would see shop localized 'more' for their country then you can proceed to then use specific prices by country, i.e. you can have prices by country as well. I also suggest enabling multishop, then add yourdomain.ca for example, this increases seo in that country, google ccTld
