aleifuu.work
Hi there, many thanks for developing this wonderful product for us store owners to get quickly onto ecommerce realm ! I find Prestashop is very easy to use in comparision to eBay's Magento. My test environment is XAMPP based and I installed Prestashop from Bitnami stack and so far it works as a charm right out of the box However I am bumped into some potentially annoying administration issues with Prestashop and I would like to share and contribute here As topic says, how would you go about completely removing installed 3rd party themes ? I have installed several themes on my test environment and now I would like to go 'clean slate' with only default and few selected good ones Here's where I don't know what to do next: 1. I removed every 3rd party themes installed in /themes but default 2. Back Office will still shows these already deleted 3rd parth themes with question marks in Preferences -> Themes. How can I remove these as well so that it only shows the 'default' theme 3. How about those modules installed by 3rd party themes ? Do I need to uninstall them one by one ? or is there easier solution ? 4. Do some 3rd party themes rewrite some default modules ? If so, how do I cleanly undo them ? Many thanks guys Edited February 26, 2014 by aleifuu.work (see edit history)
vekia
2. Back Office will still shows these already deleted 3rd parth themes with question marks in Preferences -> Themes. How can I remove these as well so that it only shows the 'default' theme uninstall them and delete them in back office, not only from filesystem, you have to remove them one by one and yes - third party themes overwrite default modules (if these themes uses default modules)
aleifuu.work
Yes. After I delete them manually from filesystem, I was trying to look for option to delete them from back office but could not find button like "Uninstall" or "Remove" or "Delete" to explicitly remove So I go phpmyadmin and delete entries from ps_themes I just hope what I'm doing is right and doesnt destroy the system integrity
