Category Filter Not Working As Expected

Recommended Posts

Prestashop 1.5.4.1

Hi

Has anyone come across the following issue with the blocklayered filter module. I have two links that go straight to a filter. One filter works and the other does not. Eg:

This one works:

http://localhost/testsite/6-food#/categories-dish_of_theday.

This one does not:

http://localhost/testsite/7-fish-food#/categories-dish_of_theday.

If anyone can help with this it would much appreciated.

Thanks

Sorry Vekia.

I know that this is on on my machine, but I don't want to give out the actual address of the site. Essentially it does the same thing on my available site and I'm confused on why this should be the case. Have you come across this issue before?

Thanks.

Have done more investigation on this and if a sub-category has the name name as another sub-category then this filter link will not work. So for example, I have the following two categories:

- Category A                 (Id_Category = 1)

   - Sub Category 1       (Id_Category = 3)

   - Sub Category 2       (Id_Category = 4)

   - Sub Category 3       (Id_Category = 5)

- Category B                 (Id_Category = 2)

   - Sub Category 1       (Id_Category = 6)

   - Sub Category 2       (Id_Category = 7)

   - Sub Category 3       (Id_Category = 8)

This link will work correctly and show the filtered products:

www.mysite.com/1-category-a#/categories-sub_category_1

This link will NOT work correctly and NOT show the filtered products:

www.mysite.com/2-category-b#/categories-sub_category_1

Is this a bug? I would have thought that the filters should work by using the "id_category" value and NOT the category name value to filter products, but this appears to be what happens. I'm I correct?

Possibly someone from prestashop could clarify this situation as I'm sure a lot of people would setup their categories and sub-categories this way.

Thanks
