Custom page with only filter

I've been reading and reading and so far, I haven't found a solution for what I need.

 

I purchased the module "Filter Products Pro" which does exactly what I wanted on my main site BUT... I need it to also work for my mobile site.  I contacted the vendor and they just gave me a blanket statement: it doesn't work on mobile.

So now I'm looking at creating my own.  So far, I've been able to create a custom controller from the forum posts and have it working here: http://nomessdrainplug.com/index.php?controller=FitmentSearch

 

Now, I want to remove everything except the area that says "Find What Fits" and have that available for my mobile users.  I created a mockup of what I'm saying: http://nomessdrainplug.com/fitment/mockup.bmp

 

I have basic development skills so please answer as if I'm an idiot and understand nothing.
