I'm a novice about prestashop and I don't know how to work the core
when I edit an html file inside the mails folder, if I switch to the next version should I change it again?

hello,

you can override mails directory with your theme dir

if you will do that, you will not lose changes.

but remember - your theme must be different than /default/

Yep, you should have something like:

 

/themes/your_theme/mails/en/ and there are .html / .txt files

 

you can also override mail templates for modules

/themes/modules/mailalerts/mails/language_folder/html & txt files

copy to

/themes/your_theme/modules/mailalerts/mails/language_folder/html & txt files

This is the right step?
