Robots.txt file displayed 404 page

Hi,

 

My website robots.txt page displayed 404 page. How to set the robots.txt file through BO and any changes in htaccess file please anyone guide regarding this issue.

 

www.domainname.com/robots.txt

 

this page displayed 404 page ..

anyone provide any solution regarding my robots.txt file is not accessible for search engine and not execute on browser...

 

www.domainname.com/robots.txt

 

any idea how to robots.txt file executable through htaccess because if i placed the robots.txt file in admin folder they executable with admin directory. just like;

 

www.domainname.com/admin/robots.txt

Hi all,

 

I had the same problem as you and just found a fix! You have to modify file permissions on your txt file. You can copy permissions settings of an other php file on your ftp if you don't know which rights to apply to your file.
