How can I make the lines around the apple and samsung logo to dissapear?

you can do it with css styles

 

open global.css file

 

line 1533 looks like:

ul#manufacturers_list li img {
display: block;
float: left;
margin-right: 14px;
border: 1px solid #ccc;
vertical-align: bottom;
}

remove

border: 1px solid #ccc;

Thank you for answer but it did not work for me. My subcategories still have lines around the logo.

you asked about "manufacturers" only, not about subcategories.

check image that you attached in your first post - it's a manufacturer page

does these lines disappear there?

here is the solution:

 

remove border param from:

inline_list li img {
border: 1px solid #ccc;
}

it's a part of file: /themes/default/css/category.css line 58
