[solved] Force customer to leave telephone number

Is there anyway to force customers to fill in the telephone number at the checkout?

you can configure customer settings:

preferences > customers and select this option:

[FS3]

that doesn't force them at the till point, we've got that switched on already and they still don't do it.

 

(Only account creation) is selected however on that page you mentioned

to force telephone, then you need this to be set also, else they are not presented with full account creation info.

I presume this is how customers are opting out of putting a telephone number in at the checkout, will this force them even without an account? I've changed this setting now. Basically we must have a telephone number no matter what.
