Now Prestashop uses only the product weight parameter to define shipment cost range but a lot express courier calculate shipment rates from package volume and weight, and each courier use a different rapport. An example to clarify: 1 product to ship weight 1.5 Kgs height 34 cm length 40 cm widht 38 cm TNT courier consider a cubic meter volume like 250 Kgs DHL courier consider a cubic meter volume like 300 Kgs SDA doesn’t consider volume but only real weight etc..... In this case: TNT calculates: product volume: 34x40x38 / 1000000 x 250 so 51680/4000 = 12.92 Kgs DHL calculates: product volume: 34x40x38 / 1000000 x 300 so 51680/3333 = 15.51 Kgs SDA uses only real weight so 1,5 Kgs Presatshop doesn’t consider these differences for shipment rates.. It’s very important for people who use more than one courirer ! A module would be very appreciated, unfortunately I'm a merchant and not a programmer....
