HSMall
Hello, I am new to Presta Shop and I am using version 1.5.6.1. I am using theme PRS040097. I was shipping calculated by TOTAL WEIGHT and I know where to find that selection. However, my problem is how do you have it calculate shipping based on weight then the destination address (US only)? I have more than five suppliers for my company and they all use different shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, and USPS). The customer can't pick which shipping carrier but I want them to choose standard, priority first class, next day, or 2nd day air. On the bigger items, signatures are require. I really need help ASAP because I have been trying to figure this out for a few days now and I need to open the store ASAP. Any instructions would be greatly helpful? I have the store under maintenance mode because I didn't want anyone to try to buy something. Rachel
Dh42
The only way to really set it up that way would be to use this module, http://www.presto-changeo.com/en/shipping-modules/83-localized-shipping.html
HSMall
Does it go by weight or zones?
Dh42
It can go by both at the same time. You can use zip codes and states as well.
HSMall
You would have type in every single zip code? Does it matter what carrier? Or it just an average price?
Dh42
You can type in zipcode ranges. What do you mean what carrier, this becomes your carrier. You handle all of the conditions and pricing within the module.
HSMall
So this would be carrier in place of three different carriers? How do I figure out the pricing?
Dh42
You basically use what your drop shippers tell you to figure out how you want to charge shipping.
HSMall
I spoke with my suppliers and I figured out the shipping by installing FedEx, UPS, and USPS modules then associating them to the product. However, at checkout, the options come up for that particular item but the free shipping is automated calculated in. I do not have any free shipping at this time and under the shipping tab I put 0 to disabled free shipping. So, why is my cart saying free shipping? What can I do to remove the free shipping? Dh42
Ok, you can edit your blockcart.tpl and fix t hat. Just copy and replace it with this, https://gist.github.com/Dh42/7965743
HSMall
It worked! Thank you so much!! I have another shipping question. I have several suppliers and each of them use a different carrier (UPS, USPS, and FedEx). I use all three modules and they are working. The problem that I realize that what if the customer pick products from two different suppliers and they both use different shipping carriers? How do I accommodate my cart to handle that? Can you please help? Thanks! Rachel
