Modifying Customer Registration Form Fields (specifically the Address section)

Hi,

 

I am running Prestashop 1.5.6.0. Please I need help concerning the modification of the customer registration fields (Address section). I want to get rid of the "Home Phone" field and leave only the "Mobile Phone" (it should be a required entry). I have tried all sorts of things namely:

 

1. I changed the address settings in the BO via Localization > Countries, etc. but it did not work.

2. I set "Mobile Phone" and other appropriate fields to required=>true in Address.php but it did not yield any results

3. I commented out the Home phone form field in authenticate.tpl to no avail

 

Please I need help and I look forward to hearing from someone.

 

P.S. I have also set smarty template cache to "Force compile" and I switched off "Cache" to ensure that the change to the authenticate.tpl file was effected. Nothing has changed.
