Multistore - using subdomain - problem with settigns

I am using PS 1.5.6.1 and  I want to run two shops with different product and use just one back-office. So the multistore function should by the solution.

 

I red the guideline and alsom other posts here, but nothing worked for me.

 

Please.... What I did wrong, or what I miss: 

 

1. my shop is for example www.shop1.com . I enable mustishop  

2. I add shop2 to default shop group.  

3. I set Shop URL and shop option as attachement. So I set domain URL to www.shop2.shop1.com (subdomain of www.shop1.com)

4. I create folder "shop2" in "_sub" DIR to create the subdomain www.shop2.shop1.com

 

And when I go to www.shop2.shop1.com   and nothing displayed.  Just blank page, like there is no page.

 

What I did wrong ? What I have to set to get it run?

Having same problem, it worked for about 2 minutes then blank, the sub-domain just points to the empty directory created by the sub domain creation from host cpanel.....

 

But Ive just read this in the changelog for Prestashop update 1.5.6.2

 

[-] FO : #PSCFV-2981 - Fix bug with url rewrite and subdomain "www"

 

Not sure if this has anything to do with it

 

Not tried the update to find out if an update helps yet but Im drawing nearer to that avenue, hope you find  a solution
