XAMPP doesn't work very wel.

Hello everyone,

 

I had prestashop 1.5.4.1 working verywel on my computer. I fineshed afeter a long time the upgrade to this version.

I create this version on my computer whitch is in my home network.

I run XAMPP at my computer.

 

Then I upgrade my windows 7 to windows 8.1. Then XAMPP didn't start Apache. So my site didn't work anymore.

I uninstalled XAMPP.

I rename c:\XAMPP to c:\XAMPP1

I reinstalled XAMPP.

I got the same problem. Then I fixed the problem. So Apache is working now.

Then I copied c:\XAMPP1 to c:\XAMPP

 

But now... the prestashopsite has no database structure. So it doesn't start.

Who can tell me how to fix this?

Hello frits; did you register the apache services when you  installed it? Try moving the xamp directory to its installed name ( /xampp1 ) that should do the trick.

MLAnhalt, I read your message again. I think I'm not clear to you.

When I Install XAMPP, I create c:\XAMPP

When I copy c:\XAMPP1 to c:\XAMPP, it doesn't work. That was the first thing I tried. I think ther is a version differences between the last version I had and the new one.
