[SOLVED] Block Social not giving correct link for facebook page

Im editing facebook link for block social. hobbyland.ph

 

the link showing up is this https://www.facebook.com/pages/HOBBYLAND.Workshop.Feel.At.Home

 

how can i remove the /pages to show the correct link https://www.facebook.com/HOBBYLAND.Workshop.Feel.At.Home

If I follow to add the url link to my facebook page which is this

it gives this when clicking the front office button to facebook

 

https://www.facebook.com/pages/https://www.facebook.com/HOBBYLAND.Workshop.Feel.At.Home

 

so I took off part of the link and just entered my page name HOBBYLAND.Workshop.Feel.At.Home it displays this

 

https://www.facebook.com/pages/HOBBYLAND.Workshop.Feel.At.Home

 

 

the correct link is https://www.facebook.com/HOBBYLAND.Workshop.Feel.At.Home  without the /pages

what version of module you use?

it looks like modified module. it's not original one. 

this is causing your problems

Vekia, I have the same issue. Using BlockSocial Networks 0.2.5 and whether I put in kittags or the full Twitter URL it still takes me to a default page of the website rather than to Twitter.

 

Could you advise on which code page I should edit?

can you please share url to your website? it's a default prestashop module?

you used: www.twitter.com/kittags as an url, please use address with http, like this:

https://www.twitter.com/kittags

Thanks Vekia, have tried that, but it gives me my full URL then the Twitter URL, so www.kittags.co.uk/www.twitter.com/kittags. Facebook one does www.kittags.co.uk/kittag even though FB URL has been entered.

default module name is "blocksocial"

 

 

on your screen we can find "blocksocialnetworks"

it's not default module. make sure that you changing correct module, it looks like not

Hi Vekia, thanks. While I can find Block Social in directory, per the code posted, I can't find it on the list of modules - do I reinstall, can I download it or can I do it from the computer?

Hi Vekia, it's from themes/modules/blocksocial.tpl

so it's a part of different module - original one.

conclusion: it should appear on modules list in your store.

 

 

1) search for "blocksocial"

 

2) module looks like:

 

this is original module and you should use this one.

Hi Vekia, thanks for the direction. Found it and reset, new URLs in and locations now correctly found. Have disabled the other one as it may have been conflicting.

 

Setting this to Solved.

Hi I now have the problem of the facebook not showing up at all.  Have the correct URL in both modules - any help is appreciated.
