Guest
Hello! New user, first post. I'm evaluating Prestashop as a possible solution for a catalog website. I've searched and read and found many possible hacks to make Prestashop act as a catalog with prices showing. Some suggest using Catalog Mode and making code changes to show prices. Others suggest going the other way - use Normal Mode but set all products to "not available" and some othe rhacks to hide the shopping cart buttons. As there seems to be significant interest in operating in this way, I wondered if a concensus best practice had been developed. Especially one that does not involve hand-made custom code modifications. Any chnace the latest version permits price display in Catalog mode? Thanks. Guest
On Prestashop version 1.5 in the catalog products information it has a select box to abble or disable the "display price". Please check there! Thank you for this. I went to the back-office demo and found the "available" and "show price" options on the "Product Global Information" screen. Unfortunately, making the changes and then clicking "show my shop" takes me to an online store that does not reflect the demo back office, so I can't see what kind of display these options produce. I expect the "show price" option displays the price. But does the "unavailable" option cause a "not available" message to be displayed? And I see no option to hide all Shop[ing cart buttons. Thanks.
