Double carrier choice

Hi, everyone. I have a problem with my 1.5.6 installation: when checking out, I'm asked to chose shipping carriers twice: once on the first step (Summary) and then again on step 4 (Shipping).

 

I've checked out as a guest in the store, and then as a registered user, it didn't make any difference.

 

I snooped around the forum but couldn't find any info.

The first one is a preview (when you're not registered yet).

 

You can switch to a 1 step checkout instead of 5, and simplify the whole process (Preferences->order).

It's kinda weird that if it's a preview it lets the customer choose a shipping method, and then asks him to choose again. I tried one page checkout but then it won't let me select a payment method, the image of my payment method loads (Redsys) but isn't clickable.

 

So, as of now, neither way seems to work for us :/ The 5 step lets us sell but with that double shipping selection gives the customer the idea that it has a glitch or a bug, and the second doesn't let the user pay :(
