BO Images Missing

I have looked at many topics on this subject, without any luck.  I am using Prestashop 1.5.6.0.  All was good.  I moved to a new hosting company, and migrated the site.  Now, when I add a new product, the small image thumbnail is not showing up in the Catalog...Products admin page.  All is fine on the front end.  When I look, it appears it is not even generating the .jpg in the img/tmp folder.  The "stock" products at install are there.

- I tried changing permission on the img and tmp folder, but no luck.

- I have tried regenerating thumbnails, but no luck.

- I have tried enabling Friendly URLS, but no luck.

- I tried modifying the .htaccess file, but no luck.

- I have done a completely new install of PS 1.5.6.0, but no luck.

- Did all the things above again on new install, but no luck.

 

I think the problem may be something with my new hosting company, but I am not sure what it could possibly be.  I am now using Green Geeks.  Any suggestions?

I was able to get this resolved by contacting by hosting provider.  PHP was set to native version (which happened to be 5.3.27).  However, it appeared some of the PHP modules may have been disabled.  We set it to 5.3 (also 5.3.27), and this enable the appropriate modules.  After that, all was good.
