Crow2000
Dear fellow Presta-users, Currently I'm helping out a friend with a webshop using Prestashop, but after a long search, there still remains a question. I'm trying to figure out how to make a product alias. To give an example: Product A and product B refer to the same physical item, but it has to be in the shop as two separate products. This because it concerns an item that is suitable for a few brands (of motorcycles), but it has to be sorted under all brands separately. Am I overlooking something or is this just not possible? Thanks in advance for tip and hints.
vekia
why not to create separate products associated to other categories and to other manufacturer?
Crow2000
@vekia: Because it has to refer to the same article number. This is easier, because there are a lot of articles. All in separate boxes. With x articlenumbers for such items is really inefficient. But if there doesn't exist such a feature, I'll have to live with it. vekia
you can only associate product with different categories, feature like you described doesnt exist, unfortunately. This is how prestashop works
Crow2000
Ok, I'm going to try some things with the multi-category association. Thanks for your help vekia!
