vasselina1973
Hi everybody, I guess this is very annoying question to ask again but still I'm new in PS and really hope anyone can help. Using PS 1.5.4.1 and cannot upload pictures via csv import. Read each and every topic concerning this problem in the forum, tried everything suggested - short and full picture address, deleting ps tables, modifying files and codes, proper UTF-8 encoding, no special characters, folder permissions, moving pictures in admin folder, checked every suggestion with the hosting provider - for what concerns the hosting side - safe mode is off, allow url fopen is true, PHP version is 5.4... just everything I found here in the forums and the net. Nothing helps so far. The shop is in bulgarian language, the domain has also bulgarian name (in cyrillic letters) - if it matters, but no cirillic letters in file names or file address. I have thousands of products to upload so manual attach of pictures is not a solution. I REALLY APPRECIATE if anyone has fresh ideas. Thank you! vasselina1973
Forgot to mention: the pictures size is small - some 30kB and similar.

Dh42
Contact your host and ask them if a server error is generated when you try to upload the images. Do you see any kind of error in Prestashop when you try?
uGoGo
Not sure if its too late to help you with this, but I read somewhere on a forum outside Prestashop that you need to look at the path the import script points to when importing pictures. I can't remember the forum where I saw this, but one person solved this by making a separate folder for the imported pictures, and pointing the import path to that folder. Hope that helps. vasselina1973
Thank you Dh42. The PS "warning" message says like • Product n°102: the picture cannot be saved: http://www.shop-domain.bg/pics_folder/Product102.jpg. as I wrote in the topic of the post. And thank you uGoGo - there is a hint in your post - "look at the path the import script". Meanwhile I solved the problem, so this is my solution, for everybody who is searching a solution for the same problem. The import works with relative url like: /home/your_hosting_account/public_html/your_shop_folder/your_pics_folder... etc. but not with the full url like http://www.your_domain.bg/your_pic_folder/... etc., despites of all advices here in the forum that you should use the full url in csv file. As you could see from my first post, I tried the "short" (the relative one) url before posting here - the short url is actually longer than the full url The problem in my case with using relative url in my csv was just a small syntax error in writing the relative url in the respective csv column and when I fixed it - voila! it works. Therefore I posted above an example how the address should look like - still this is also a help forum and not only professionals write here, but also people trying just to open a shop like me and looking for solution for their problems with PS. Prestashop v. 1.5.4.1 and all my configuration given in the initial post. Good luck!
