Suggestions for manufacturer customer support site with Prestashop

Wondering if anyone has a recommendation on configuration/usage of Prestashop as a Manufacturer/Vendor catalog and customer service portal?

 

The goal is to provide customers with detailed instructions, FAQs, related products in a catalog of all the clients' products.  Customers would be able to purchase parts accessories on the site, but for now, we would refer the customer back to online/brick-mortar retailers for purchases.  The site primary aim is to gather customer base, provide support on their products, provide encyclopedic details on the products and provide a general forum for the customer to connect with the manufacturer.

 

So for each product, we'd need manuals, attachments, related product references, customer reviews, etc.  We'd send out newsletters, manage the customer base, and provide product support.

 

Since we'll have minor purchasing at first with parts and accessories, with the possible future expansion of a full product sales, we thought prestashop a good choice.  But for now, we'll configure the primary to be customer service and support.
