sanax Posted September 9, 2013 Share Posted September 9, 2013 (edited) Hope someone can help me. The friendly URL and domain forwarding let the .htaccess file create it's data. (If I'm correct?) I've tried 3 new installations and since I've complete the redirecrtion (domain forwarding in my cPanel) and enable friendly URL's, my site is slowly collapsing! Half of pages can't load. The .htaccess file causes hundreds of error redirections in my cPanel! Me and my hosts techs struggled with this problem for days! We couldn't solve the problem Is there a way of stopping the .htaccess file to create it's own data? I will go without the friendly URL's. I will appreciate it if you can lead me in the right direction. I attcached to images. First one is without the domain forwarding and the second is when I cahnged the URL in Preference > SEO & URL's In the second image of my redirection colomns in the cPanel, PrestaShop created the middle 2 colomns. The top and bottom were set up by me. theartgangster.com is my 'main' domain with the others as addon domains. If I enable Friendly URLs, Presta Shop will create tons of those entries in the redirection colomns. Any idea why this is happening? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
El Patron Posted September 9, 2013 Share Posted September 9, 2013 ah dude, I don't review custom directives...jajajajaja It might be a good time to explain what you are trying to accomplish. if it's simply adding shops to your multishop, then there is a much easier way to do it... as for native prestashop customization, I at times do take private work if I think the customer knows what they are doing you are not there yet... I explained the problem in my first post. I did nothin custom. PrestaShop created those entries in my cPanel! ...if that is what you mean! If I unstall PrestaShop, those entries disappear. If you enable friendly URLs, PrestaShop creates MORE of those entries! Pages of it in my cPanel. If you delete those entries, the platform acts like it has bugs in it and evetually crashes! happene 3 times with fresh installs. According to the host techs, the .htaccess file creates it and that's why I asked how to stop it. Yes. If we delete it, pages don't load, can't log into the Admin stc. The entire platform lterally falling apart until you have to uninstall it. To make things worse, is to activate friendly URLs. The directives are running up to 20 pages in the cPanel. If I install PrestaShop, all these drectives disappear. These were fresh installs.
