Modules missing in BO

Recommended Posts

Please can anyone tell me why when I click on the modules tab in the BO, no modules are shown.

what can I do to rectify this.

I need to upgrade my version and add a new theme but cannot do it without being able to click on the appropriate modules.

thanks

Hi

Yes the whole site crashed today and has had to be reinstalled by the hosting company. They have been excellent but it has been stressful.

I upgraded my site a few weeks ago and have now found out that the theme has not been designed for the upgrade. So I needed to find a new theme. When changing the theme the whole lot just disappeared

I know have the site back, with the old theme but now cannot see the modules to change the theme. it is 1.4.11

At the moment simply answer is no.

I tried to upgrade to newer version 1.5.4. now I have the back in log in page and when i press log in the whole screen goes blank.

When I look in the cpanel at my files I am showing the version that El Patron said I should find for the below 1.5.3. which is baffling as I just upgrade to 1.5.4.

When I change the code nothing happens.

I am waiting for my hosting to reload the older version back again. Then I will retry.

any suggestions to get the bo back while I am waiting.

Hi all

Finally got it all reinstalled and still have no modules showing in BO.

BUT no getting an error message when following El Patrons instructions. it is

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CLASS in/home/indiemus/public_html/www.homesteadandgarden.co.uk/modules/fianetfraud/lib/kernel/CertissimXMLElement.class.php on line 1

can anybody help me now please.

Barry

PS

I am probably worrying about nothing but having just looked in the file above it is talking about children in the file as far as I can see. Please could somebody help me urgently on this.

thanks

Hi Vekia

These are 2 modules that came in the 1.4.11 package.

What should I do with them. Delete?

I cannot disable them as I do not have any modules showing in my BO

How can I reinstall a new version of 1.4.11. I do not seem able to be able to find a way.

Hi,
I got exactly the same problems as you hippooflove
As I understand, to remove fianetfraud and kwixo modules is better way to fix these problems. Because when did I removed these folders from module folder in BO I can see all modules, unlike it was before (whan clink on module I got blank page with no error defined, there helped El Patron post)
