help! My online shop with hundreds of items numbers are completely smashed - what do I do now?

Recommended Posts

1.5.4.1 - 1.5.5.

I would upgrade to 1.5.5.0 and started 1-Click and at one point it stopped due to a fajl which I have no name, and I clicked so that I could go back to the old version and then see what it came out of it ....!

www.netshop4all.dk

I imported my backup, but nothing has changed and I go into the server, I can see that virtually all of the files in the admin directory is gone.

I have followed the description punctual, but it can not be done this way as long as I can install PrestaShop on the same prefix PS_ the database is created with.

PrestaShop installation will not agree to use the same prefix and can not get in touch with the data on the database under the same prefix.

How can I change it?

I followed the instructions 2 times with the same result. The data is in the database, but because of that I can not change the prefix as Prestashoppen as to which the data is located in the database, Prestashoppen not read them.

Upon installation of Prestashoppen installation will not accept the same prefix and in my opinion is what the problem is, but how can I get this changed?

I would upgrade to 1.5.5.0 and started 1-Click

I delete everything and reinstalled a new prestashop then I imported the backup with file manager

I'm not 100% clear if you're currently trying to upgrade or do a fresh install.

If you want to do a fresh install to work with your existing database, you could try this:

  1. Via phpmyadmin, rename your existing database to mydatabase_old
  2. Follow the prestashop installation process, creating a new database called mydatabase.
  3. When the installation has completed, drop (delete) the newly created mydatabase
  4. Rename mydatabase_old back to mydatabase

I'm guessing that if you do a fresh install and provide the name of an existing database, it won't let you continue unless you provide a new prefix. I haven't tried that, so I could well be wrong.

Hope this helps.

Cheers, Dave

If you have a backup of your database, then go to phpmyadmin and do this :

Drop (delete) the current database

Make a new database with the exact same name

IMport your database backup into this new database

You will be just fine . This is assuming you want to rollback to your previous working store.
