How can you force customers to select a attribute?

Can you please help me? I have a store and we are seling clothes, so we have 2 attributes :size and color. Hiw can i force customers to select an atribute?

Hi! This is not an actually fix, but It is how i did it so that the custumers at least should see that they need to choose a shade. It's not perfect but better.

 

In BO on product combination I added a attribut that I named CHOOSE SHADE and then set the Minimum quantity to 2. This now displays the text:

 

"This product is not sold individually. You must select at least 2 quantity for this product."

 

But that is easy to change in the translations.
