Integrating MailChimp Module into the One Page Checkout Process

Hey everyone I am trying to figure out how to integrate the Mail Chimp module into the one page checkout by using just a check box opt in. I can embed the api code into the checkout page, but I'm not sure how to do it as just a check box that if checked adds there email to our Mail Chimp list. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks in advance.
