lisz55
Is it possible to import products with csv file and if there is the same product in the shop to update this product, not duplicate it?
frustrated
I tried in vain for days to get around this and in the end purchased the "Import Fast" module its brilliant as it adds all colours/sizes/barcodes/catagories and text. - saved loads of time in long run and now i just re upload my csv with changes and it overides previous data rather than duplicating it. RogueWaveLimited
I believe that is what it does now. That is if the product name matches the product is updated. If the product with that name does not exist a new product is created. Try it in a small CSV to see.
lisz55
I've tried it and now I have many duplicated products.
RogueWaveLimited
Ah, sorry. The reason for the "small" in my post.
lisz55
Ah, sorry. The reason for the "small" in my post. No need to apologise. I've done this before I wrote this topic
frustrated
I had this problem too and each time I uploaded a csv it added a new duplicated product had to manually delete several times, which meant an increase in search engine taking customer to a "product not found page" the module import fast starts products at no 1 again and each time you upload the csv it just amends the data rather than duplicating it. I could not find a way on prestashop itself to overcome the issue
