Importation no correct. field is not valid according to the method validateisgenericname.

I'm using PS 1.4.10

I tried to import a .csv file of products that weighs 57 kb. However i get this error:

The following field is not valid according to the method validateisgenericname:

(FeatureValue- >value = for the language 5)

What does this mean error? What do i do to get rid of it? After I see that i have only imported about 70% of the products.

Perhaps depends on limits of import server?

For starters you can remove that line of the CSV and see if the rest of the file will import. Make a new file with the lines that cause errors then you can try them together.

 

Posting one of the lines with the error might help.

Ok but I how do I know which lines are causing the error? I have several hundred records!

The fastest way is to divide the file into two files and run both. If one doesn't work then divide it in half and run the two halfs etc.. until you find the lines that don't work.
