Category Page Not Letting Customer Select Variation

Good morning everyone,

 

Loving Prestashop, but I have an issue I'm hoping someone can help me with.

 

While setting up my shop I can successfully add product combinations (colour, sizes, etc) which all works fine while on the actual product page. However; if a customer clicks on a category such as Summer Dresses, it will display different dresses but adds an 'Add To Cart' button that when clicked adds an item straight to the cart without giving the customer the option to choose their variation.

 

Has someone else noticed this problem?
