(SOLVED) 1.5.1.4 Where and how do I modify the footer

I'm using 1.5.4

I have been trying to modify my footer. but not success.

 

I am trying to re-arrange the column, but I do not know how to.

and since there is only 4 column, I would like them to have the same width if possible.

You use default template? If so, you can change column positions under the modules > positions tab

search for "displayFooter" list - you've got there list of all modules attached to the "footer" section.

You can change position of the modules inside this section. Just drag'n'drop modules on list.

it's hard to say what you have to change without an access to your store. so if it is possible - please share the url to your shop. I will check it and try to give your solution

go to the footer.tpl file located in your theme directory

 

you've got there

{$HOOK_FOOTER}

 

change it to:

<div style="width:790px; margin:auto; display:block;">
{$HOOK_FOOTER}
</div>
