Mass update of product cost price/selling price

Hello,

 

I have searched for the answer to this question extensively and have seen others asking this question. The questions have either not been answered or paid for modules have been recommend.

 

My questions are:

 

Will uploading a CSV with only existing stock codes, cost prices and selling prices amend or replace products??

 

And if it does not amend how can i change the cost/selling prices of products on the website in bulk, without some paid for 3rd party module.

 

I will have between 3-10k products to begin, and each month/quarter our costs prices will be changing, so I will need to be able to easily update/amend products.

I am now working on different spreadsheet pf about 4k products for my CSV imports, I really would like to know of how to mass update all of these prices once they are on!!

Yes, I too would like an answer to this, although this is an old post, I feel it's quite an important issue and could do with a nice answer.

 

I have just tried a csv import to update prices, an I am now in the process of deleting hundreds of NEW products, as the import procedure created new products instead of updating existing ones. Thankfully I've only attempted updating a few hundred lines ; )

What version of PS are you using? 1.5.6.1 CSV import now works perfectly, including to update/edit products. Just use the product reference as key, then adjust whatever information you need to, and it will correctly update the product, without duplicating/deleted other information as it used to.
