Essex Dog Supplies
Can i duplicate this module so that I can add another one lower on my home page? Or is there an html block that I can add to my homepage? I want to add custom html, images and newsletter/facebook stuff. I'm using PrestaShop™ 1.4.9.0 Thanks in advance Edited May 1, 2013 by Essex Dog Supplies (see edit history)
Joel Bardsley
Hi, You certainly can duplicate the module. I've attached a version that you can extract straight into your modules folder. You can find/configure it in 'Other Modules' Thanks, Joel [EDIT - removed attachment] Edited April 30, 2013 by Joel B (see edit history)

rocky
It's a little difficult to do, but not impossible. It requires copying the editorial module and renaming it to editorial2 and renaming editorial.php to editorial2.php. You then need to edit all the filenames and the files and change all instances of EDITORIAL to EDITORIAL2 and Editorial to Editorial2 and editorial to editorial2. If done correctly, you should have an identical module with its settings saved in a different location than the original.
kanapfelka
What about EditorialClass.php and EditorialClass in code? ok i`ve changed to Editorial2Class.php and find and replace changed to Editorial2Class i think 1. I`ve changed all instances of Editorial and other variants to Editorial2 via Find and Replace in notepad++ in all files. 2. Then uploaded folder to host and in modules have Editorial and Editorial2. BUT Editorial seems uninstalled while Editorial2 has all data from Editorial. When i click Install button on Editorial it says that module already installed. rocky
Yes, that file too. Everything must be separate so the data from one module isn't overwritten by the other. There's a lot to change.
