Nigel Lew
Hi folks. I am cobbling together a site for someone who wants to use 2co in addition to paypal. Simple enough.I just got this email forwarded to me that I frankly find a bit vexing. Here is the nuts and bolts of it.Thank you for contacting 2Checkout.com. I apologize for any inconvenience caused by my delayed response. Please be advised, your account is active for sales. Please revise your supplier disclaimer to read as the following: "2Checkout.com is an authorized reseller of goods and services provided by(clients site here)according to their site located here: http://www.2checkout.com/language_guidelines.htmlThey want some language that is not only completely inaccurate but they want a back link in spite of the fact that the client has to pay them 50 dollars for each shop she sets up. Well apparently she gets a discount as a repeat customer but I was wondering if anyone else finds that to be completely gratuitous and quite frankly crap marketing on their part. Why should I profer a backlink when the client already paid for them for said service.Eg: 2Checkout.com, Inc. is an authorized retailer of Note on the site its hyperlinked. That is how the email arrived as well. The email further states:The way you say "Pay with 2Checkout" is not in compliance with 2CO regulationAnyone else have some thoughts on this. I have been dealing with the asinine all week so I figured I would see what you folks think about this.thanks,Nigel

Nigel Lew
Thanks, I will look into that. I don't typically have to futz with much other than paypal. We use an actual credit card processor for most of our clients. Meaning actual merchant account. Its pretty easy to write drivers for that stuff. This particular client is abroad or not in the US.This just struck me as quite odd, much like the rest of my week lol...NigelEdit: also posted this as someone may need to update the 2co mod unless enough of us cause a stink about it.
