Easy Retail Manager for Prestashop

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever used this software? It's a desktop application that lets you do a variety of things including mass product imports.

I cannot find any information about this program anywhere and wanted to know if it's potentially safe to use and if anyone else has used it etc.

The only thing i can really find on the program is this video.

Any info on this would be beneficial.

Thanks

I have found the problem with these programs is that they cannot keep up to the pace of change in the software they hope to control. They also do not seem to provide a compelling alternative to the default interface that can be accessed from any machine.

JMHO.

What feature do you find compelling VS. the standard interface? And why?

My issue is this.

I have 2000+ products I need to load onto my site and the current back office interface for adding products once I've added the attributes and assigned images to them etc takes me 8+ minutes per product. It's very time consuming for the amount of products in need to put on site. The csv import feature is really confusing and I've never managed to get if to work, so I'm seeking a easy to use fast alternative to importing my products and images in the least amount of time possible.

Hello,

It looks like an amzing piece software, and I think it definitely has strong positive points for an etailer working with a lots of references- Besides, it looks like you can handle multiple stores and languages, work easily with excel, import back the products. Has anybody tested it ?

Thanks for responding Stephen. PS really needs to step up their game... I am sure this is something that has been requested from the start and yet no real solution. The CSV import in v1.5.4.1 is incomprehensible (at least for me) and just makes me question the platform as a real viable solution for customers. This is depressing because i really like the software otherwise. :(

I like prestashop don't get me wrong. But my biggest issue is for a guy first starting out building an eCommerce site is you most likely don't have much overhead so once you build your site you realize there are a lot of key modules you need in order to run a successful eCommerce business and prestashop modules usually run you at a ridiculous $150-$300 a piece!!!

So I switched to opencart since I had a friend who develops for it and key modules for that platform run $10-$50 a piece, much much more affordable, and themes are also a lot cheaper. So if you are hurting for money and don't have $300 to be able to offer gift cards on your site than I would shop around for another platform with more affordable addons. I learned this the hard way after spending a year creating a site and later found that for me to do everything I want I need to get the modules for it and I could not believe how much money prestashop modules cost.
