I've tested this solution on the latest version (can't remember the figures), but this "fix" should work on all PrestaShop versions; old and releases made in the future.

Apologies for posting in an old thread, but I may have a solution for you.

First of all, it's not a cache problem, but for the sake of it, we're going to regenerate thumbnails anyway, but NOT yet.

To get started on removing the default logo, shoot up your FTP and connect to the location where your PrestaShop installation resdies. Go into the "img" directory, and replace the "logo.jpg" file with your custom logo, and ensure it ends in .jpg. If your logo file ends in .png, .gif, or any other format, convert it to .jpg and replace the default.

Don't worry, you only have to use JPG to replace the default. This will not affect your web site, and you may continue to use other file formats for your logo on the front-end (i.e. via the PrestaShop CP).

Now that you've done that, go ahead and regenerate thumbnails for your web site. It may take some time doing this, so go get yourself a cup of tea, or watch some TV! ;) To regenerate thumbnails, go into your PrestaShop CP > Prefrences > Images > Scroll down to "Regenerate Thumbanails", and click the corresponding button. Now, sit back. ;)

If you don't have the option to regenerate thumbnails, or even replace the logo.jpg file via FTP, contact your adminstrator to do this for you, or request that you have the permissions to do so.

All the best. ;)
